1. Park your Honda Civic on a level surface.
2. Turn off the engine and allow it to cool down.
3. Open the hood of your Honda Civic.
4. Locate the transmission fluid dipstick. It is usually located near the back of the engine compartment, near the transmission.
5. Pull out the dipstick and wipe it clean with a rag.
6. Reinsert the dipstick into the transmission fluid dipstick tube.
7. Pull out the dipstick again and check the fluid level. The fluid level should be between the "FULL" and "ADD" marks on the dipstick.
8. If the fluid level is low, add transmission fluid through the dipstick tube. Use a funnel to add fluid slowly, checking the fluid level frequently.
9. Once the fluid level is correct, reinsert the dipstick and close the hood of your Honda Civic.
