Where is the battery in a mini cooper?

In most MINI Cooper models, the battery is located in the trunk, on the right-hand side. To access the battery, open the trunk and remove the floor covering on the right side. There will be a release lever or latch that needs to be pulled or lifted in order to open the battery compartment cover.
