How do you install plug wires in 1998 Toyota Corolla?

Tools Needed:

1. Ratchet

2. Spark Plug Socket

3. Extension

4. Wire stripper

Instructions

1. Open the hood of the car and remove the plastic cover over the engine.

2. Locate the spark plugs. They are the four cylindrical objects located at the top of the engine.

3. Use the spark plug socket and the ratchet to remove the old spark plugs.

4. Remove the old spark plug wires from the spark plugs.

5. Cut about 1/4 to 1/2 inch of insulation back from the tip of your new spark plug wires with wire strippers.

6. Install the new spark plugs into the engine using the ratchet and spark plug socket.

7. Install the new spark plug wires onto the spark plugs by pushing them down onto the ends of the plugs.

8. Replace the plastic cover over the engine.

Note: The order of the spark plug wires is important. Make sure to install them in the correct order. The firing order for a 1998 Toyota Corolla is 1-3-4-2.
