- Replacement fuel filter
Parts Needed:
- Replacement fuel filter (Nissan part number: 16400-8E000)
Procedure:
1. Locate the fuel filter. On the 1995 Nissan Pickup V6 King Cab, it is located under the driver's door, just in front of the rear wheel.
2. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
3. Use the 10mm socket to remove the bolts holding the fuel filter bracket in place. There are two bolts on top and one on the bottom.
4. Remove the filter bracket.
5. Use the flat-head screwdriver to release the fuel lines from both ends of the fuel filter. Be careful not to spill any fuel.
6. Remove the old fuel filter.
7. Install the new fuel filter by reversing the above steps.
8. Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
9. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes to check for any leaks.
Additional notes:
- When removing the fuel lines, be careful not to lose the O-rings that are on them. These O-rings are important for preventing fuel leaks.
- If you spill any fuel, be sure to clean it up immediately. Fuel is flammable and can cause a fire.
- If you have any questions or concerns, be sure to consult with a qualified mechanic.
