Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shock while you are working.
Step 2: Locate the blower motor resistor
The blower motor resistor is located on the passenger side of the vehicle, behind the glove box. To remove the glove box, open it and then squeeze the sides inward until it releases from the dash.
Step 3: Remove the blower motor resistor
Once you have located the blower motor resistor, remove the two screws that hold it in place. Then, disconnect the electrical connector from the resistor.
Step 4: Install the new blower motor resistor
Connect the electrical connector to the new resistor, and then secure the resistor in place with the two screws.
Step 5: Reinstall the glove box
Reinstall the glove box by sliding it back into the dash and squeezing the sides inward until it clicks into place.
Step 6: Reconnect the battery
Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
