1. Open the hood of the vehicle.
2. Locate the engine compartment. It is usually covered by a plastic cover.
3. Remove the plastic cover to expose the engine components.
4. Look for a black or gray plastic container with the word "Battery" or "+" and "-" symbols on it. This is the battery.
5. The battery is usually secured in place with a bracket or hold-down clamp. You may need to loosen or remove this to access the battery terminals.
Once you have located the battery, you can disconnect the terminals and remove the battery from the vehicle.
