How do you get the battery out of a 2003 Volvo V40 I assume plastic clip in front is key but what do?

To remove the battery from a 2003 Volvo V40, follow these steps:

1. Open the hood of the car.

2. Locate the battery, which will be in the front right corner of the engine bay.

3. There is a plastic clip in front of the battery. You need to remove this clip, but if it does not seem to come loose, you should leave it for now.

4. Disconnect the negative battery terminal by loosening the negative terminal clamp bolt with a wrench and lifting the clamp off the battery terminal.

5. Disconnect the positive battery terminal by loosening the positive terminal clamp bolt with a wrench and lifting the clamp off the battery terminal.

6. There are two clips at the base of the battery that hold it in place. Use a flat-head screwdriver to release the clips by sliding them toward the center of the battery.

7. Lift the battery out of the engine bay.

Note: If you were not able to remove the plastic clip in the front of the battery, you can do so from underneath the car. The clip is attached to a bracket that is bolted to the car's frame. To remove the bracket, you will need to remove two nuts with a wrench and then slide the bracket off the bolt towards the front of the car. Once the bracket is removed, you can pull the clip down towards you.
