1. Park your vehicle in a well-lit area and apply the parking brake.
2. Open your trunk.
3. Locate the two Phillips-head screws holding the license plate light assembly in place.
- They are located on either side of the license plate.
- Remove the screws using a Phillips-head screwdriver.
- Be careful not to drop the screws.
4. Once the screws are removed, gently pry the license plate light assembly out of its housing.
- Be careful not to break the assembly.
5. Pull the connector to the light bulb out of its socket.
6. Gently twist the light bulb counterclockwise to remove it from the socket.
- Be careful not to drop the light bulb.
7. Insert the new light bulb into the socket and turn it clockwise until it is secure.
8. Push the connector back into its socket.
9. Reinsert the license plate light assembly into its housing and secure with the two Philips-head screws.
- Tighten the screws until they are snug.
10. Close the trunk and test the new light bulb.
