Where is the fuse box on a vw camper van?

For VW Type 2 (T1) Camper Van (pre-1967):

1. Open the front bonnet (hood) of the vehicle.

2. Locate the black fuse box on the driver's side of the engine compartment.

3. The fuse box cover usually has a diagram indicating the location and purpose of each fuse.

For VW Type 2 (T2) Camper Van (1967-1979):

1. Open the front bonnet (hood) of the van and locate the front luggage compartment (also called the "frunk").

2. Inside the frunk, you should see a black plastic cover labeled "Sicherungskasten" or "Fuse Box."
