- Low transmission fluid level
- Dirty or contaminated transmission fluid
- Transmission filter is clogged
- Transmission pump is failing
- Transmission solenoid is faulty
- Transmission torque converter is damaged
What to do:
1. Check the transmission fluid level. If the fluid is low, add the recommended type of fluid to the transmission.
2. If the fluid is dirty or contaminated, drain the old fluid and replace it with new fluid.
3. If the transmission filter is clogged, replace the filter.
4. If the transmission pump is failing, replace the pump.
5. If the transmission solenoid is faulty, replace the solenoid.
6. If the transmission torque converter is damaged, replace the torque converter.
In some cases, you may need to take your car to a mechanic for diagnosis and repair.
