1. Locate the fuel cap. On the Polo, the fuel cap is located on the rear passenger side of the vehicle, near the taillight.
2. Unscrew the fuel cap. The fuel cap is a screw-on type cap. To unscrew it, turn it counterclockwise until it comes loose.
3. Remove the fuel cap. Once the fuel cap is loose, you can remove it by pulling it straight up.
4. Refuel your vehicle. Once the fuel cap is removed, you can refuel your vehicle.
5. Replace the fuel cap. After you have finished refueling, replace the fuel cap by screwing it back on until it is snug.
