- New oil filter
- New crush washer for the oil drain plug
- Oil drain pan
- Funnel
- Wrench
- Rags
Instructions
1. Warm up the engine for a few minutes to make the oil less viscous.
2. Turn off the engine and let it cool down for a few minutes.
3. Place the oil drain pan under the oil drain plug on the bottom of the engine.
4. Use the wrench to loosen and remove the oil drain plug.
5. Allow all of the oil to drain from the engine.
6. Replace the oil drain plug and tighten it securely.
7. Remove the oil filter using the wrench.
8. Apply a thin coat of new oil to the gasket of the new oil filter.
9. Screw on the new oil filter until it is snug.
10. Use the funnel to add new oil to the engine.
11. Check the oil level using the dipstick and add more oil if necessary.
12. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.
13. Check for any leaks.
14. Turn off the engine and recheck the oil level.
15. Dispose of the used oil and filter according to local regulations.
