1. Park the ATV on level ground and turn off the engine.
2. Locate the drive belt cover. It is usually located on the left side of the ATV, behind the front wheel.
3. Remove the drive belt cover by removing the bolts that hold it in place.
4. Inspect the drive belt for damage. If the belt is cracked, frayed, or otherwise damaged, it will need to be replaced.
5. Loosen the bolts that hold the drive belt tensioner in place.
6. Use a pry bar or other tool to pry the drive belt tensioner away from the belt.
7. Slide the drive belt onto the drive pulley.
8. Release the drive belt tensioner and allow it to return to its original position.
9. Tighten the bolts that hold the drive belt tensioner in place.
10. Replace the drive belt cover and secure it with the bolts.
11. Start the engine and check the drive belt tension. The belt should be tight enough to prevent it from slipping, but not so tight that it puts undue stress on the engine or transmission.
If you are not comfortable performing this procedure yourself, you can take your ATV to a qualified mechanic to have the drive belt adjusted.
