1. Park your bike on a level surface and turn off the engine.
2. Locate the battery. The battery is located under the seat.
3. Remove the seat. To remove the seat, lift the latch located at the front of the seat and pull the seat up.
4. Disconnect the battery terminals. The battery terminals are located at the top of the battery. To disconnect the terminals, loosen the nuts on the terminals using a wrench and then lift the terminals off of the battery posts.
5. Remove the battery. Once the terminals are disconnected, you can remove the battery by lifting it out of the battery compartment.
6. Install the new battery. Place the new battery in the battery compartment and connect the terminals to the battery posts. Make sure that the positive terminal is connected to the positive post and the negative terminal is connected to the negative post.
7. Tighten the nuts on the terminals. Tighten the nuts on the terminals until they are snug.
8. Replace the seat. Replace the seat by sliding it back into place and lowering the latch.
To change the battery, you will need the following tools:
- A wrench
- A screwdriver
