Fair Lawn is a borough in Bergen County, New Jersey, which borders the Borough of Glen Rock, Ridgewood, Fair Lawn's southeastern neighboring city and former township, Franklin Lakes on the eastern border, Garfield to the northeast, Paramus across Route 17 to the southwest, and Wyckoff on the eastern and northwestern sides along Goffle Road with an estimated population of 31,959 per a 2019 census estimate from the Bergen County Planning Board, with an increase of 540 (1.7%) from the 31,419 counted in the 2010 census
According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough had a total area of 7.26 square miles (18.81 km2). 7.10 square miles (18.40 km2) of the borough are land and 0.16 square miles (0.41 km2) of it (2.1%) are water.
