1. Locate the carburetor on the engine. The carburetor is usually located on the side of the engine, near the top.
2. Look for the fuel mixture screw. The fuel mixture screw is usually a small screw with a slotted head. It is usually located on the side of the carburetor, near the bottom.
3. To adjust the fuel mixture, turn the screw clockwise to lean out the mixture or counterclockwise to richen the mixture.
4. Start the engine and let it warm up.
5. If the engine is running too lean, it will run hot and may knock. If the engine is running too rich, it will run rough and may stall.
6. Adjust the fuel mixture screw until the engine is running smoothly.
7. Once the fuel mixture is adjusted, tighten the lock nut on the fuel mixture screw to keep it from moving.
