How do you change transmission fluid Yamaha 1994 fzr 600?

Tools Required:

- 3/8” drive ratchet

- 3/8” to 1/4” drive adapter

- 17 mm socket

- 10 mm socket

- 8 mm socket

- Oil drain pan

- Funnel

- Measuring cup

Parts Required

- New transmission fluid

- New crush washer

- Brake cleaner

Instructions:

1. Remove the skid plate that protects the bottom of the motorcycle’s engine

2. Turn the drain nut on the transmission case bottom counterclockwise with a 17mm wrench to begin draining the old fluid.

3. Allow the oil to drain completely into a suitable collection pan.

4. Replace the old drain nut and gasket with the new crush washer and tighten it using the 17mm wrench.

5. Remove the transmission fluid filler plug with a 10mm socket.

6. Insert a funnel into the transmission fluid filler hole.

7. Pour the appropriate amount of new transmission fluid into the funnel. Refer to the owner’s manual for the recommended amount.

8. Replace the transmission fluid filler plug with a 10mm socket and tighten it to snug.

9. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes to circulate the new fluid.

10. Turn off the engine and check the transmission fluid level.

11. Adjust the transmission fluid level as necessary.

12. Replace the skid plate that protects the bottom of the motorcycle’s engine
