To change the oil on your Yamaha Radian, follow these steps:
1. Gather the following materials:
* New oil filter (Yamaha OEM #5GH-13440-00-00)
* New oil drain plug washer (Yamaha OEM #90430-01015-00)
* 2.7 quarts of SAE 20W-50 motor oil
* Oil drain pan
* Funnel
* Wrench
* Rags
2. Warm up the engine by letting it idle for a few minutes. This will help to thin the oil and make it easier to drain.
3. Turn off the engine and allow it to cool down slightly.
4. Place the oil drain pan under the oil drain plug, which is located on the bottom of the engine.
5. Use the wrench to loosen the oil drain plug and allow the oil to drain into the pan.
6. Once the oil has drained completely, replace the oil drain plug and washer.
7. Remove the oil filter, which is located near the top of the engine.
8. Apply a thin coat of new oil to the gasket of the new oil filter.
9. Screw the new oil filter onto the engine until it is snug.
10. Use the funnel to add 2.7 quarts of new oil to the engine.
11. Check the oil level using the dipstick. The oil level should be between the "Full" and "Add" marks on the dipstick.
12. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes. Check for any leaks around the oil drain plug and oil filter.
13. Turn off the engine and allow it to cool down.
14. Check the oil level again using the dipstick. The oil level should be between the "Full" and "Add" marks on the dipstick.
That's it! You have now successfully changed the oil on your Yamaha Radian.
