1. Prepare the bike. Make sure that the bike is in neutral, and that the clutch is disengaged. Check that the fuel valve is turned on.
2. Find the kickstarter. The kickstarter is located on the right side of the bike. It is a long lever with a rubber-tipped end.
3. Position yourself. Stand on the left side of the bike, facing the kickstarter. Place your right hand on the handlebars, and your left hand on the kickstarter.
4. Kick the starter. Kick the kickstarter down and forward, using a quick, firm motion. Your kick should be strong enough to turn the engine over.
5. Engage the clutch. Once the engine has started, engage the clutch by pulling in the clutch lever. This will prevent the bike from moving forward while you are still on the kickstarter.
6. Let go of the kickstarter. Once the clutch is engaged, you can let go of the kickstarter. The bike will continue to run on its own power.
7. Give it some gas. If the engine is idling too low, you may need to give it some gas. This can be done by twisting the throttle grip.
8. Ride away. Once the engine is running smoothly, you can release the clutch lever and ride away.
