2. The oil level should be between the "upper" and "lower" marks on the glass. If it isn't, you may need to add some more oil.
3. There is no dipstick for the crankcase oil on the 1983 Honda Shadow 750.

4.** To add oil, remove the oil drain plug on the left side of the engine and let the old oil drain out into a container.
5. Once the old oil has drained out, replace the oil drain plug.
6. Use the oil filler plug to add new oil until the level is between the "upper" and "lower" marks on the oil sight glass.
7. Always use the type of oil specified in the owner's manual for your 1983 Honda Shadow 750.
