1. Disconnect the battery:
- Locate the battery, usually under the seat or the side panel.
- Disconnect the negative (black) battery terminal first, using the appropriate wrench.
- Then, disconnect the positive (red) battery terminal.
2. Access the starter:
- Remove the right engine cover by unscrewing the bolts that hold it in place.
- The starter is located on the left side of the engine and is connected with two bolts.
3. Remove the starter bolts and wires:
- Use a wrench to loosen and remove the two starter bolts.
- Disconnect the electrical wires attached to the starter solenoid and the starter relay.
4. Remove the starter:
- Carefully remove the starter from the engine.
- Be careful not to drop the starter motor.
5. Inspect and replace if necessary:

- Place the starter back into position.

7. Reconnect the battery:
- Reconnect the positive (red) battery terminal, ensuring it is securely tightened.
- Reconnect the negative (black) battery terminal.
