Why exhaust mid pipe?

* Weight Reduction: Aftermarket mid-pipes are often made from lighter materials like stainless steel or titanium, compared to the heavier stock parts. This weight reduction, while small, can contribute to improved handling and acceleration.

* Compatibility with Other Modifications: Replacing the mid-pipe is often necessary when installing high-flow headers or other performance exhaust components. The stock mid-pipe may not be compatible with the size or design of these modifications.

It's important to note that the gains from a mid-pipe alone are usually relatively small unless paired with other performance modifications. The primary benefits are often perceived improvements in sound and, to a lesser extent, increased performance. The environmental impact (increased noise pollution) should also be considered.
