* Clogged Oil Filter or Pick-up Tube: A severely clogged oil filter or a blocked oil pick-up tube in the oil pan can restrict oil flow, lowering pressure.
* Worn Engine Bearings: Worn bearings allow more oil to leak past them, reducing pressure. This is a more advanced engine wear issue.
* Thick Oil: Using oil that's too thick (high viscosity) for the temperature can also lead to reduced oil pressure at low engine speeds.
* Loose or Damaged Oil Lines: A leak in an oil line would obviously lower the oil level and pressure, but even a slightly loose connection could introduce air into the system, affecting pressure readings.
