To find it:
1. Locate the throttle body: This is a large housing connected to the intake manifold. The throttle cable connects to it.
2. The TPS is on the throttle body: It's a small sensor, often mounted on the side or top of the throttle body. It'll have a connector plugged into it. It usually has a small shaft that interacts with the throttle plate.
While there isn't a dedicated "idle throttle sensor," the TPS is crucial for controlling idle speed. A faulty TPS can cause a variety of idle problems. If you're having idle issues, diagnosing the TPS and the PCM is often necessary.
