On a 2002 Ford Focus SOHC, the crankshaft position sensor (CKP sensor) is located on the
transmission bell housing, near the
bottom of the engine block, close to where the transmission bolts to the engine. It's usually fairly easy to see once you're underneath the car. It's a relatively small sensor with a single wire connector.
Important Note: Accessing it may require some maneuvering and possibly removing some underbody shielding or components. Consult a repair manual specific to your vehicle's year and engine for precise location and removal instructions. Incorrectly handling the sensor or its connection can damage it.
