Even if you solved the intake manifold issue, other challenges remain:
* Valve Train: The Vortec heads likely use a different rocker arm setup and possibly valve springs than the TBI engine. You'd need to ensure compatibility.
* Exhaust Manifolds/Headers: These will likely also need to be replaced to match the Vortec head ports.
* Computer/ECM: The TBI system's computer is not designed to work with the Vortec heads' flow characteristics. You would need a standalone engine management system.
In short, while theoretically possible, it's an extremely complex and costly undertaking. The effort involved would far outweigh the benefits, making it impractical for most people. It's much simpler and more cost-effective to find a suitable set of heads designed for the TBI engine.
