There isn't a readily accessible, standard fuel cutoff switch on a 1997 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer, or most other vehicles of that era for that matter. Modern fuel injection systems rely on the ignition system to control fuel delivery. Turning the ignition off shuts off the fuel pump.
While some aftermarket fuel cutoff switches can be installed, they're not factory-installed features. If you need a quick way to stop fuel flow in an emergency, disconnecting the negative battery cable is generally considered the most effective method.
