Where is the speed governor on a Ford Escape?

The Ford Escape doesn't have a traditional, manually adjustable speed governor like some commercial vehicles. The speed is electronically controlled and limited by the vehicle's computer system (PCM - Powertrain Control Module). There's no single physical component you can point to and call a "speed governor". The speed limiting function is integrated into the vehicle's software.
