To find the correct fuse:
1. Consult your owner's manual: This is the most reliable source. The manual will have a fuse box diagram showing the fuse locations and what each fuse controls.
2. Check the fuse box diagrams inside the fuse box covers: There are usually diagrams printed on the inside of the fuse box covers themselves, showing the fuse layout.
Look for a fuse labeled "Power Point," "Accessory Power," "Cigarette Lighter," or something similar. If you can't find one of these labels, check fuses of similar amperage (usually 10-20 amps). Be careful to avoid high amperage fuses.
Important Note: Before checking or replacing any fuses, always turn off the ignition.
