When was the Ford Lightning first designed?

The Ford Lightning, as we know it (the electric pickup truck), was first revealed and designed in 2021 though development work started earlier. The name was revived from the gas-powered Lightning trucks produced from 1993-2004, but the electric version is a completely new design.
