Where is the ignition module located on a Ford Ranger XLT 2.3l?

The 2019-present Ford Ranger 2.3L engine doesn't have a separate ignition module in the traditional sense like older vehicles. The ignition control is integrated into the Powertrain Control Module (PCM), also known as the Engine Control Module (ECM). This is usually located inside the vehicle, often under the dashboard or in the engine compartment, but it's not easily accessible and should only be handled by a qualified mechanic.

Trying to locate or work on the PCM yourself is strongly discouraged unless you have significant automotive electrical experience. It's a complex computer controlling many vehicle functions, and improper handling can cause significant damage.
