* Under the hood in the power distribution box (fuse box): This is the most common location. The power distribution box is often found near the battery, but its exact location varies slightly by model.
* Inside the car, usually under the dashboard: Less common, but some models placed it here.
To find it:
1. Consult your owner's manual: This is the best place to start. The manual will have a diagram showing the location of all relays and fuses.
2. Look for a diagram on the inside of the fuse box lid: Many fuse boxes have diagrams printed on the inside of the cover, showing the location of each fuse and relay.
3. Look for a relay that is labeled "Fuel Pump" or has a symbol related to a fuel pump.
Important Note: Before working with any electrical components, disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent accidental short circuits. If you're not comfortable working with car electrical systems, take it to a qualified mechanic. Misidentifying and replacing the wrong relay can cause further problems.
