To make it work, you'd need a massive undertaking involving:
* Extensive fabrication: You'd need to create custom engine mounts, transmission mounts, and potentially modify the firewall, inner fenders, and other body parts to accommodate the larger engine.
* New transmission: You'd need to find a transmission compatible with the Geo Prizm's DOHC engine and then fabricate mounts for it. This transmission will likely also need modifications to fit the Storm's driveshaft and differential.
* Wiring harness modifications: The wiring harnesses are completely different. You'd need to adapt the Prizm's harness to the Storm's system, which is a very complex electrical job.
* Exhaust system modification: The exhaust system will need to be custom-fabricated.
* Potential cooling system modifications: The Prizm's cooling system may not be compatible with the Storm's configuration.
In short, while not impossible, it would be an incredibly difficult and expensive project, far beyond the capabilities of most DIY mechanics. The time and cost involved would likely exceed the value of the resulting vehicle, making it a very impractical endeavor. It's far more reasonable to find a Geo Prizm or another car with the desired engine.
