3. Look for a relay labeled "Fuel Pump," "EFI," or a similar designation. The relay itself might be marked with a part number.
4. If your owner's manual is unavailable: You can search online for a 1987 Oldsmobile 98 fuse box diagram. Use the year, make, and model in your search. Many sites offer such diagrams.
5. Visual inspection: The relays are usually square or rectangular and are generally the same size. If you can't find a label, visually inspect the relays. Some might be slightly different, indicating a high-power component like the fuel pump.
