distributorless ignition system, meaning it doesn't have a single ignition coil and distributor like older vehicles. Instead, it has
individual ignition coils, one for each cylinder. There are
eight ignition coils total, one mounted directly on top of each spark plug.
Therefore, you don't have *one* ignition coil to replace; you'd need to identify which cylinder is misfiring and replace the corresponding coil pack on that cylinder.
