Where is the fuel pump on a 1998 dodge diesel?

On a 1998 Dodge diesel (assuming you mean a Ram pickup truck with a Cummins engine, as that's the most common diesel in that year), the fuel pump is in the fuel tank. It's an in-tank electric fuel pump. You won't see it without dropping the fuel tank.
