1. Consult your owner's manual: This is the most reliable source of information. It will have a fuse box diagram showing the location of the fuse and what it protects.
2. Check both fuse boxes: Locate the underhood fuse box (usually near the battery) and examine the diagram on the inside of the lid. Look for a fuse labeled "cigarette lighter," "power outlet," "accessory," or something similar. If not found there, check for an interior fuse box (often near the driver's side knee area or under the dash). Again, consult the diagram.
