* Short circuit: A short circuit occurs when a wire touches a grounded component, creating an unintended path for electricity to flow. This often results in significant sparking and can be a fire hazard.
* Starter motor issues: A faulty starter motor can arc while attempting to engage. This is usually accompanied by a clicking or grinding sound.
