The Ford Triton 5.4L V8 engine uses a standard passenger car numbering system. The cylinders are numbered sequentially from the passenger side (right side when facing the engine) to the driver's side (left side), starting from the front of the engine. Therefore:
* Passenger Side (Right): 1-3-5-7
* Driver's Side (Left): 2-4-6-8
Keep in mind that this is when viewing the engine from the front of the vehicle.
