Why the Diesel Industry is Seeking Exhaust After Treatment

January 8, 2015/in Blog/by IslandDiesel - admin

A recent article in the Vancouver Sun focuses on the negative effects of diesel exhaust on the human body.

That article can be found here: http://www.vancouversun.com/technology/Breathing+diesel+exhaust+induces+changes+study+finds/10710209/story.html

Unfortunately, the newspaper’s article is misleading – it repeatedly references Diesel Exhaust, but the study is actually on Diesel Exhaust Particulates (soot).

The full study can be read here: http://www.particleandfibretoxicology.com/content/11/1/74

Interesting reading.  Summary – breathing soot is bad for you.  That’s why today’s modern CLEAN DIESEL vehicles are equipped with Diesel Particulate Filters & Exhaust Aftertreatment Systems.
