If I could select less than 1 star, I would. This book is horribly written, with repeated misuse of antonyms, indicating that neither the author nor his editor knows or cares about correct usage. For example, the use of "there" when the possissive "their" should be used. Also missing punctuation such as apostrophes in the contraction "aren't", whichbwas spelled "arent" repeatedly. This made the book difficult to read. Besides terrible presentation, this book offered very little in the way of technical information and zero engineering theory or explanation to back up the author's recommendations. Therefore, the book offers the reader no way to arrive at a conclusion regarding an appropriate turbo for his soecific application. Likewise, it offered little to no specific recommendations for any particular application. Innfact, the author recommends using Google and asking others with turbos what works for them!

I bought this book expecting to learn something about turbos and how to successfully select and install one for my application. Instead, I got a lousy introduction to some turbo slang and jargon - some of which is incorrect, as I discovered in some of my later reading after I ditched this awful book - and advice to search Google, forums, and talk to other enthusiasts. This book is a waste of money and time.

I would not turbo an engine on this book alone, but it does point our all the way through the book the basic questions, can you do it ? and can you afford to do it ? As with anything the total package needs to be taken into mind, plan, plan and plan, when you have a plan pick it to bits and then make an informed plan and then build. A good read and easy to follow.
