Location of idle air control valve on dodge shadow?

The idle air control (IAC) valve on a Dodge Shadow is located on the throttle body. It is a small, cylindrical device with a black plastic housing. The IAC valve is responsible for controlling the amount of air that bypasses the throttle plate when the engine is idling. This helps to keep the engine running smoothly and prevents it from stalling.

To remove the IAC valve, you will need a Phillips head screwdriver and a flat head screwdriver.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the air cleaner assembly.

3. Locate the IAC valve on the throttle body.

4. Remove the two Phillips head screws that hold the IAC valve in place.

5. Use the flat head screwdriver to pry the IAC valve out of the throttle body.

6. Clean the IAC valve and the throttle body with a solvent cleaner.

7. Reinstall the IAC valve and the air cleaner assembly.

8. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
