How do you remove your dash on a 1980 Dodge d150?

Tools Needed:

* Phillips head screwdriver

* Flat head screwdriver

* Socket set

* 10mm socket

* 7mm socket

* 5mm socket

* Ratchet

* Extension bar

* Pliers

* Flashlight

Instructions:

1. Disconnect the battery. This is important to avoid any electrical shocks.

2. Remove the screws holding the instrument cluster in place. There are four screws located around the perimeter of the instrument cluster.

3. Disconnect the electrical connectors behind the instrument cluster. Make sure to disconnect all of the connectors so the instrument cluster can be completely removed.

4. Remove the instrument cluster from the vehicle. Be careful not to drop the instrument cluster.

5. Remove the steering wheel. There are two bolts holding the steering wheel in place. Loosen the bolts and then use a steering wheel puller to remove the steering wheel from the column.

6. Remove the screws holding the lower dash panel in place. There are four screws located along the bottom edge of the dash panel.

7. Disconnect the electrical connectors behind the lower dash panel. Make sure to disconnect all of the connectors so the dash panel can be completely removed.

8. Remove the lower dash panel from the vehicle. Be careful not to drop the lower dash panel.

9. Remove the screws holding the upper dash bezel in place. There are four screws located around the perimeter of the dash bezel.

10. Disconnect the electrical connectors behind the upper dash bezel. Make sure to disconnect all of the connectors so the upper dash bezel can be completely removed.

11. Remove the upper dash bezel from the vehicle. Be careful not to drop the upper dash bezel.

12. Remove the screws holding the dash pad in place. There are four screws located along the top of the dash pad.

13. Disconnect the antenna cable from the radio.

14. Remove the radio by sliding it out of the bracket.

15. Remove the ash tray.

16. Disconnect the electrical connectors behind the glove box. Make sure to disconnect all of the connectors so the glove box can be completely removed.

17. Remove the glove box from the vehicle. Be careful not to drop the glove box.

18. Remove the center console. There are four screws holding the center console in place. Remove the screws and then pull the center console out from the vehicle.

19. Pull the dash out from the vehicle. Be careful not to drop the dash.

20. Reconnect the battery.
