The majority of 4.8L GM motors require Dexos1™ 5W-30 motor oil. Some engines, such as the L20, LY2, LR4, LM4, LC9 require Dexos2™ 5W-30 motor oil. To be sure please check your motor oil cap which displays the required motor oil and specification.
