Is there supposed to be small gap between the ac compressor and hose assembly where hoses connect bolt goes into on a 1999 Chevy S-10 Blazer 4.3?

There should not be a gap between the AC compressor and hose assembly where the hoses connect. The bolt should go through both the compressor and the hose assembly, and there should be no space between them. If there is a gap, it could cause the AC system to leak refrigerant and not function properly.
