1. Park the car on a level surface, turn off the engine, and wait until the engine has cooled down.
2. Open the hood.
3. Locate the power steering fluid reservoir. The reservoir is located on the passenger side of the engine compartment, near the front of the car.
4. Remove the cap from the power steering fluid reservoir.
5. Use a turkey baster or a fluid extractor to remove the old power steering fluid from the reservoir.
6. Clean the inside of the power steering fluid reservoir and the cap with a clean rag.
7. Add new power steering fluid to the reservoir until it reaches the proper level. The proper level is indicated by the “FULL” mark on the reservoir.
8. Replace the cap on the power steering fluid reservoir.
9. Turn the engine on and allow it to run for a few minutes.
10. Recheck the power steering fluid level and make sure it is still at the proper level.
11. If necessary, add more power steering fluid to the reservoir to reach the proper level.
