Here are the steps to remove the fuel tank from a 1994 Mazda B4000 truck:
1. Park the truck on a level surface and turn off the engine.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3.Raise the rear of the truck using a jack and jack stands.
4. Crawl under the truck and locate the fuel tank. It is located between the rear axle and the cab of the truck.
5. Disconnect the fuel lines from the fuel tank.
6. Disconnect the electrical connector from the fuel sending unit.
7. Remove the bolts that hold the fuel tank in place.
8. Carefully lower the fuel tank from the truck.
Once the fuel tank is removed, you will be able to access the fuel sending unit. The fuel sending unit is held in place by a locking ring. Remove the locking ring and lift the fuel sending unit out of the fuel tank.
