1. Park your vehicle on a level surface and turn off the engine.
2. Open the hood of your vehicle.
3. Locate the oil filter housing. It is a cylindrical-shaped object located near the top of the engine on the driver's side.
4. Remove the oil filter cap by turning it counterclockwise.
5. Remove the old oil filter by turning it counterclockwise.
6. Apply a thin coat of new oil to the gasket of the new oil filter.
7. Screw on the new oil filter until it is snug.
8. Replace the oil filter cap and tighten it until it is snug.
