Where is the fuse for alarm a 1999 Subaru Outback legacy?

There are two possible locations depending on the production date of your vehicle.

Models built before 10/98

The fuses are located in the fuse box in the engine bay. The fuse for the alarm is marked "TAIL AMP".

Models built after 10/98

On these models the fuses are located under the steering wheel column. Remove the lower dash panel trim below the steering column to access the fuses. The fuse for the alarm is marked "TAIL".
