1. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery for at least 30 seconds. This will power cycle the car's electrical system and may reset the check engine light.
2. Reconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
3. Turn the ignition key to the "On" position without starting the engine.
4. Wait for the check engine light to come on and then turn off.
5. Start the engine.
6. The check engine light should now be reset.
If the check engine light does not reset, you may need to have the vehicle diagnosed by a qualified mechanic to determine the cause of the issue.
